Search Committee Update
MRBC Family,
With many thanks to our hard-working Search Team and Church Board, Jonathan Neufeld has been unanimously recommended to become the Lead Pastor of MRBC.
Please see the attached bio introducing Jonathan, Noula and their family as well as this week’s candidating information leading up to a business meeting on March 11th. Please feel free to call or email the church office if you require clarification regarding these events. And please be praying through all of the steps still to come.
You are welcome and encouraged to bring a question or two this Tuesday evening so that we may hear Jonathan’s heart for pastoral ministry in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows and beyond!
This will be the plan for the upcoming weeks:
Jonathan will be here to meet our staff team on Tuesday afternoon.
Then, all are welcome to meet Jonathan and Noula on Tuesday evening, Feb. 27, 7:30 – 9:00 in the Auditorium. They will introduce themselves first then we will have a time of Q & A.
We also have a Leadership only event planned for members of our church board, staff and search team and their families on Saturday evening, March 3.
Next Sunday morning March 4, Jonathan will be preaching in the morning service and his whole family will hang out for an extended coffee and cupcakes visit in the lobby after the service.
Extraordinary Business Meeting – Sunday, March 11, following the morning service.
A Business Meeting will be held immediately following the service on the 11th. A 75% majority of members present and voting will be required to call Jonathan as Lead Pastor of Maple Ridge Baptist Church.
It is anticipated that Jonathan would begin in that capacity the week of Easter.
