FAQs

Do I need to dress up fancy?

You do not need to dress up...unless you want to. We like you just the way you are.

Do you have programs for my kids?

On most weekends we have kids programs available. However, we make our Easter service a family service so that everyone can attend together. If you're worried that kids are squirmy, that's not a problem at all. We have all been there and we all understand.

How long will the service be?

The service should be between 80 to 90 minutes. You can come early and get a cup of coffee (on us) or stay after and enjoy your coffee then.

What if I’m not sure about Christianity?

We are glad that you are coming. You can explore faith at your own pace. We'd love to help however we can.

Is MRBC a churchy kind of church?

That's a great question. It depends on what you mean by "churchy", I suppose. If by churchy you mean, "They talk about Jesus, the Bible and all that church stuff..." then, yes, we are quite churchy that way.

If, however, "churchy" means that we are rigid, stale and boring, then I hope we are not churchy at all. While we take God very seriously, we try not to take ourselves too seriously. We have lots of kids running around who keep us busy. We have some amazing youth who keep us humble and honest. We also have lots of laughter before, during, and after our services. Most guests who come these days note that we have a warm and friendly culture.

I hope people don't find it very churchy at all. I guess you have to judge for yourself on that one.

Who can I talk to if I still have questions?

You can call the church during office hours (604.467.9613) and talk to one of our pastors.

On Sunday mornings you can always talk to one of the friendly people in the bright orange shirts in our Connection Centre when you come on Sunday. They are there each week to help you navigate to or through whatever you need.
